Booking Through Thursday #7 - Category

This week's question:

Of the books you own, what’s the biggest category/genre?
Is this also the category that you actually read the most?
*scans the contents of her bookshelf* Hm, it's very mixed. I have lots of classics, chick-lit, women's fiction and mystery, but I think women's fiction is the biggest category. Well, obviously this is the category I read the most, but ever since I started my blog, I read absolutely anything and everything, from fantasy to paranormal - something I haven't really read before. Having said that, mystery and women's fiction will always be my favourite genres. :)

What about you? What's your biggest category? xxx

I think if I bought more books, that would be up there!

Nice! I'm not really into fiction but I have read and sometimes am in the mood of mystery. :)

I think I probably read more cozy mysteries, but I do like a good chic/lit book now and again.

My categories are mostly among women's fiction, mysteries, and memoirs...but I'm expanding my horizons these days.

This is an excellent question, Vicky. I love all types of fiction in general, but particularly tragic romances.

Classics take up the most space on my shelves...but are not what I read the most of....the rest is a mixed bag. It's not an Eclectic Bookshelf for nothing!!

My biggest category would be Literary, with a mix of YA.

Here is my answer.

After reading a number of answers here I don't think I categorize my books quite the same way that others do! Womens fiction is another one I would not know how to define!
Here's my BTT

I don't own a lot of women's fiction, but like you my tastes are expanding ever since starting my blog :)

Thanks for stopping by Project to be Read :)

My collection too is varied with a little bit of everything, except for sci-fi/fantasy. I appreciate the work that goes into writing those books, but just can't get into them as a reader.

The majority of my books are women's fiction, mystery, and true crime.

I've never read much woman's fiction actually, just a few I stole from my mom! Lol. But I'm definitely a big genre mixer, it's just happened to be a whole lot of paranormal reads since I joined the online reading community! But I'm loving it. Any good read I can come across, I'm happy about. :D

YA books, paranormal and fantasy take up most of mine. Though my dystopian collection is growing which I love!

I think on my bookshelf it would be historical fiction but it would be something else altogether on my reader.

Mystery is my favorite, but I do love women's fiction.
