BeSwitched blog tour - guest post and giveaway

Hello everyone! :o) I'm pleased to tell you that we have a guest author for today - Molly Snow, author of BeSwitched has stopped by Books, Biscuits & Tea with a guest post and a giveaway.

About the book:
After spending hundreds of years under the boot-heel of Idis, a frenzied witch, Surla (a magical black cat) decides to run away to find freedom, but there's one catch-- The Black Cats' Rule states it will switch bodies with a lonesome soul. Cathy, an extremely shy teenage girl, can't muster the guts to ask her crush on a date or stand up to the three biggest snobs at school. What's a girl to do? Could being BeSwitched be the answer to her wishes?
So without further ado, please welcome Molly Surla, the star cat of Beswitched. :-)

Catty Makeover Advice from Surla, Star Cat of BeSwitched

1. Nails. One of the first things I do when switching bodies with a human is give their nails a makeover. As a cat, I love to clean mine and keep them sharp. As a human, I learned quickly, that you don’t need to have them sharp, but do keep them pretty. Idis, my witch, was good with clipping her nails, but they were always yellow and hard, sometimes even poking through her socks. Find ways to keep your nails healthy by checking out some products on the market for nail strengthening, and always consider length; long nails are better than short.

2. Hair. Something most humans don’t know, is that a dab of saliva in an emergency can help with flyaway hairs. When I switched bodies with Idis, this was a constant technique of mine, since I had long hair and the November winds are strong. Just lick the back of your hands and gently wipe them across the trouble areas. This works well with bangs as well.

3. Makeup. Eyeliner and shadow are extremely important for getting that just right cat-eye look. Mesmerize boys with black liquid liner, swept up at the corners. This is very important to enhancing your human appearance. Some humans already have this trick down, like Angelina Jolie, and look at the who she nabbed. Yes, even cats can spot a handsome human when we see them. You know a cute cat when you see one, too, right?

4. The Walk. When going to Washington High as a teenage girl, I noticed other girls with their heads down as they walked the halls (That’s what Cathy used to do). I also noticed girls who would hunch like my witch Idis would at times. This shows you are uneasy with who you are or your height. When I switched with Idis, I was taller than the average girl. Instead of hunching and putting my head down, I sashayed my way through the halls. I also proudly would wear heels. Embrace yourself and practice a sassy, confident walk in front of your bedroom mirror.

5. Style. When I went shopping for new outfits, or rummaged through Cathy’s mom’s closet (she has some style!), I chose what looked good on me. Did I care that Idis hated the pink polka dotted shirt I bought, when I switched bodies with her? No! Those pink polka dots were so cute on me with my strawberry blond hair that even Jax’s father, Mr. Morreau, bought me a pair of pink polka dotted boots for when I went frog catching at Lake Sequoia. Be you, and wear it proudly!

This ends my catty makeover advice. I hope you enjoyed my tips. Which was your favorite?

Love, Surla
